Lovable, Bolt, Cursor: What Changes When AI Writes Code
These tools make it possible to build an app in just a few hours. They don't replace the steps that come next: testing, securing, and deploying.

Lovable, Bolt, v0, Cursor: in just a few hours, an idea becomes a working app. That’s a real breakthrough. But “it works as a demo” isn’t the same as “it’s ready for real users.”
What AI does very well
- get started quickly and test an idea;
- produce an initial screen, an initial user flow;
- avoid the blank page.
What it often leaves out
- Security: who can see what data, which keys are exposed;
- Backups: what happens if the data disappears;
- Proper deployment: a test environment, the ability to roll back;
- Maintenance: code that someone else will be able to read six months from now.
So, what to do
- Keep using the tool to move forward quickly.
- Have someone knowledgeable about these topics review what’s been produced before welcoming real users.
- Fix what needs to be fixed, in order of importance.
AI speeds up the start of the project. Quality depends on what comes next.
